Dear Highland Park neighbors, Please check out the message below for information about how Ten Thousand Villages is helping a great nonprofit in our own neighborhood. The PULSE program houses 8 young adults every year in a mansion on Stanton Ave. and connects them into the city through seminars and work placements in local nonprofits, supporting organizations working in the arts, environment and health just to name a few. The Union Project's director and associate director (Jessica King and Justin Rothshank) both came to Pittsburgh through the PULSE program. PULSE is bringing high-caliber people to our neighborhood. In the last few years at least 7 alumni have made commitments to our neighborhood by buying homes. Come to the Ten Thousand Villages store tonight between 6 and 8 to buy unique holiday gifts and learn more about this great program.
