[Highland Park] Security

Like many others in the neighborhood, I was shocked and upset to learn of the shooting at Walnut Market on Friday. I would like to get some kind of dialog going on this issue. I can think of a couple of things that the community could consider: a.. Extend any support or help we can give to Michael. b.. Help pay for a surveillance camera in the store. c.. Consider hiring security guards for the Bryant Street business district. d.. Revive the Block Watch system on Bryant Street. Several years ago some of us patrolled the area to discourage drug traffic. I'd appreciate any responses to these ideas. Al Mann 412-661-5947
