Like many others in the neighborhood, I was shocked
and upset to learn of the shooting at Walnut Market on Friday. I would
like to get some kind of dialog going on this issue. I can think of a
couple of things that the community could consider:
- Extend any support or help we can give to
Michael.
- Help pay for a surveillance camera in the
store.
- Consider hiring security guards for the Bryant
Street business district.
- Revive the Block Watch system on Bryant
Street. Several years ago some of us patrolled the area to discourage
drug traffic.
I'd appreciate any responses to these
ideas.
