We're on Cordova, in the northwest corner of Highland Park, and we lost our dial tone (phone and DSL) on Tuesday between 2:00PM and 7:00PM. Verizon informs us there is a "cable failure" affecting between 25 and 50 customers. We've called several times and the best answer they can give is *Friday at 9:00PM* for a repair time. We're familiar with the "under promise-over deliver" customer service tactic, but this falls far below Verizon's usual level of competence.
