Hi all, Thanks to everyone for your responses to my question about the foul sulfuric smell in the morning air. I'm definitely not the only one noticing it - I received about 50 emails just from others who had been wondering the same thing. Here are the theories proposed by others: - nearest sewer - anthracite coal burning at power stations up and down the Allegheny and Ohio Rivers - steel mills - Clairton and Neville Island coke facilities - Cheswick power plant - "damnation and brimstone...you and your neighbors must be misbehaving" Probably all those things are contributing (gross), especially that last one. Also, the day I posted my question, this article was published <http://www.post-gazette.com/local/east/2015/08/20/Stagnant-weather-encourages-rotten-egg-smell/stories/201508200072> about the smell. Anyway, my email is a bit redundant because other neighbors responded to the whole listserve with some great information. I want to follow up with a reminder to add your voice to the chorus of people who want to breathe clean air.
