With the weather so nice, I just had to start digging in the yard. I dug up some of my blue siberian iris, and would like to give it away. They get close to 3 feet tall, with small blue iris flowers around the beginning of May. The leaves are thinner than the bearded iris leaves. They do spread and fill in. I have them growing between two slabs of concrete, so they do not expand past that. I have them growing there, which is sunny for the first half of the day, and also in my back yard where it is shady most of the day. This is probably not the recommended time to dig these up and plant them, but I am sure it will not hurt them. They may even bloom this year for you, since they are just starting to sprout leaves. If you are interested in some, let me know.
