This year, in a special effort to help those in need during this difficult economic time, the Friendship Flower and Folk Festival Committee will be collecting non-perishable food items for the East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM). EECM is a non-profit, interfaith human services organization. Since 1970, EECM has provided direct services to the homeless, the hungry, the elderly, and the at-risk children and youth in Pittsburgh’s economically distressed East End neighborhoods. We will be collecting various non-perishable food items though they are in need of: * Peanut Butter * Jelly/Jam * Rice * Pasta * Spaghetti Sauce * Hamburger/Tuna Helper * Macaroni & Cheese * Dried Beans * Instant Mashed Potatoes Donation items can be dropped off at the EEMC table.
