Hi Neighbors, I agree with all of the previous posts. I stood out there for about 15 minutes this morning to alert drivers who looked like they were going to blow through the signs. Many who were speeding up actually ended up stopping as I stood out and pointed to the stop sign. I also called the police several times to report how many cars I observed flying past the sign despite attempts to alert them. If there isn't a police officer there tomorrow morning, I'm planning to post myself there with a sign alerting drivers about the new (although partially hidden) stop sign. I agree that numerous calls to 311 from us may help. Why wait until the accidents happen? Thanks for posting! Dear Neighbors
Please be every careful at this intersection when you are heading south on Negley!!! The stop sign is behind a large tree and you can't see it until you are about 10 feet away from it. I read Justin's email just prior to driving home on Negely heading south. I was actually looking for the sign, and despite looking for it, I almost hit a car turning onto Negley from Bryant as I tried to apply the brakes when I saw the sign. I was going the speed limit. Perhaps a few calls from us to 311 might help get that sign placed in a more visible spot.

I'm very happy to see the new stop sign at Negley and Bryant. I've seen the aftermath of at least 6 accidents at that intersection in the last few years. Unfortunately, many of the commuters who drive that road daily on auto pilot haven't taken note of the stop sign or the warning sign 15 feet before it. I was almost in an accident tonight turning left onto Negley from Bryant. The woman who almost hit me honked and yelled at me after driving through the stop sign. Her words were, "I don't have a stop sign." I witnessed 4 other people drive straight through it two hours later.
While it is great and may take some time for people to notice, some improvements could have been made along with the new sign (besides warning the community members).
-The warning sign is just before the sign and not halfway up the block where people may take better note from.
-A temporary flashing light before the sign would be great
-New paint on the cross walk on the northern section of the intersection would be nice so pedestrians can safely cross.
