Animal Friends of Pittsburgh is a non-killing model shelter. We have adopted our girl cat Briar from them and were impressed about how much care they took to make sure we would be a good match for her and her for us. And she is! Among the many awesome things they do they go around killing shelters the last night of the year to rescue animals that will be put down that day, they get another go in life. Animal Friends of PIttsburgh is holding a very special event by waiving the adoption fees through the end of the year for pets older than 2!
