Hello neighbors, My family and I had just moved to Pittsburgh last year right before July 4th, so we didn't really do anything for the holiday other than relax and unpack. However, this year we'd like to find a nice celebration while at the same time avoiding the crowds down at the point. Last year I remember there appeared to be some sort of celebration at the park near 40th and Penn (just before crossing the 40th St. Bridge), because I remember driving by there, but I have no idea if that's an annual celebration. Could someone please tell me if that's an annual thing and whether or not it's any good? It looked like there were a lot of family-friendly activities there. If this isn't a good spot, where would you recommend other than Point State Park itself? Thanks, Jane -- Jane Anabe janekdaniels@gmail.com
