Hi, neighbors, The new 20 mph signs on N. Euclid are wide and not very high. They are on poles in the grassy area on the outer edge of the sidewalk and the sign itself often extends into the concrete area of the sidewalk. When I walked past them, I had a tendency to move more toward the inner side of the sidewalk to be sure they didn’t hit me, and I’m only 5’6”. Yesterday I realized they could easily hit a blind person on the side of the head since they can’t see them as they pass. I alerted DOMI, and they will be correcting this misplacement, soon I think. In the meantime it would be a good idea to alert any blind neighbors to this hazard. Note: I am not sure if all the new 20 mph signs extend into the concrete area of the sidewalk since I only walked a short distance on N. Euclid yesterday, but the two I passed did. Thank you. For everyone’s heath and well-being, janet jai, MLA
