[Highland Park] Break-in

My neighbor's house (on Jackson between Negley and Highland) was robbed sometime between 8 and 11 p.m. on Wednesday night. She was out and the thief(s) cut the screen and opened a rear first-floor window to gain access. They took computer and game equipment, as well as carefully chosen pieces of jewelry and a gun (properly registered, she says). Neighbors on both sides of the house, as well as in the other half of the duplex were home at the time and heard nothing. It was reported to the police, but I thought everyone should be aware.
