A new form of yoga practice is developing in Pittsburgh, Yin Yogassage. Yin Yogassage is a blend of a 2 hour yin yoga practice with massage. Similar to a traditional Yin Yoga practice, students will be holding a series of seated and reclining poses for longer periods of time. The goal is to gradually ease into the poses while allowing muscles to relax and the energy to release in the deep connective tissue of the hips, spine and shoulders. While in the poses, students will be receiving massage from a massage therapist, helping them release stress and tension held in the body as well as inviting them to move deeper into the poses. The practice is very quieting and grounding, allowing for a reflective, meditative experience. Class size is limited to only six students so that everyone receives personal attention during the practice. There are two workshops coming up in the next week: (THIS) Saturday 1/14 9am-11am Wednesday 1/18 8pm-10pm You can pay and register for the classes through paypal using the following links, there are a few spots left for these practices. Fee for the class is $35.
