What to do with donations of various types?

Hello, all - I've seen some photos of donation spots that people have turned into garbage dumps and I certainly don't want to contribute. Is the only solution to just hang onto donations until the charities are open again? Or could we reorganize them into useful categories? I was hoping that one of you might know of a list of places that need specific types of items and where we might be able to take them. Apologies if this has been posted already -- it's hard to keep up with all the kindness I see on this list every day! Thanks, Denise
