Car Hit- any witnesses?

Hi neighbors, I received a note on my door that late last night my car was hit on N. Highland Ave near Stanton. I have a police report but the police station is telling me that they can't find it and I have to call during the midnight shift-( I don't understand why that would be the case). If anyone happened to see anything I'd love to know. I'm heading to an impound lot to hopefully retrieve my car and get some answers. Thanks so much, Lauren
