That's great news, of course in these financial times... we'll see. I walk past that building every day and it's been one of the most intermittent renovation jobs I've ever seen. This would be an upbeat addition given the status of other businesses on the street. I heard [anecdotally only] that Pizzaburghs would not be reopening, and the 'remodeling' sign has been up for quite a few months now. It also appears that Reynolds has gone from weekends-only to not opening at all, though I recall an email a few weeks ago from Reynold to say they were also doing some remodeling. Hopefully they can reopen soon, as we're going into one of the better times of the year for restaurant businesses. My neighbors told me in mid August that Cafe Brugge from Pt. Breeze is planning a restaurant in the old Costa Drapery bldg. (as you go down Bryant from Highland, it is on the left where the whole bldg is being rennovated). I phoned them to say "great," we really would love this and thought the neighborhood would support it. They said it all depends on the financials.
They said they were encouraged to hear from the neighborhood so I would recommend that you add your voice too.

Out of curiosity mainly...does anyone know what is going on with Pizzaburghs,
the place directly across the street, and the old pizza place that is now a "car service"? Pizzaburghs says closed for remodeling, but none has been apparent. Things are happening across the street and I heard a rumor of Point Brugge putting in another location there...
