I was recently made aware of a petition to save a small park not far from us in East Liberty. The Mayor's Office of the City of Pittsburgh has agreed to a deal with the private developer of Penn Plaza that includes selling Enright Parklet to them. The developer intends to turn it into apartments and a retail shopping street. Friendship Community Group, Bloomfield Garfield Corporation and East Liberty Development have teamed up to try to save the park. The first attachment will show you an overview of the park and where Penn Plaza is located. The second attachment shows how little green park space is available in East Liberty.
