I am sending this on behalf of Jan Stayianos, Crimewatch, HPCC I was shocked to see so many responses about our resident scam artist. I can only imagine how many doors he has knocked on that we don't know about and how many people have given him money. At a meeting on Tuesday (8/2) night at Fulton, I met two families who had given him money just days before. Until yesterday I had only gotten a call from a woman in Friendship. Then I got a call from a mother in Highland Park who found "Tony" in her yard talking to her children!! It is imperative NOT to give him money and to call 911 IMMEDIATELY if he approaches you. Then I would really appreciate your calls so that I can try to get an idea of his habits. 412-363-8208. Also, if anyone can give me a description of his bike or where he keeps it, that would be great. For instance, does he chain it to a stop sign, hide it in the bushes, etc. Tell everyone you know who might not have access to email (like me). I am working with zone 5 to try to find out about him.
