Macbook Pro

I have a Macbook Pro A1493. After one year the battery died and it cost $260 to have it replaced. Now 14 months the new battery has died. Apple now wants $214 to replace it after sharing that the battery in this model has been problematic and I should think about a new computer. I understand that the battery is glued into the case. Does anyone have any experience in replacing the battery in this model. Thanks for your help.
