bathtub reglazing

I am thinking about having a ceramic/cast iron bathtub reglazed, and I've heard mixed opinions. Does anyone have any experience/tips/recommendations for having this done? Can it really look great and last a long time? The tub is in fine condition; I just want to change the color. Thanks for your advice! Shannon Hula
