Highland Park: New Worship Times at St. Andrew's

Hello neighbors. Fall marks the start of a new program year at St. Andrew's. Please take note of our new times of worship. Everyone is welcome here but we do ask everyone to please wear a mask while inside our building. Thank you in advance. Our new schedule begins this Sunday, September 12. 8:00 a.m. On the lawn (weather permitting) or in the Chapel. 10:00 a.m. This service features our Choir, congregational singing and a children's chapel service for children ages 4 to 9. This service is live streamed on Facebook and available later on YouTube. Due to social distancing requirements this service is limited to 50 people. 5:00 p.m. This is a 45 minute contemplative Eucharist with a short meditation and a time for reflection. The second Sunday of every month starting in October, the 5:00 p.m. service will be one of Evensong with a recital. Starting on Wednesday September 15 a noon service of Holy Eucharist will be held weekly. St. Andrew's is on the corner of Hampton and North St. Clair Streets. We hope to see you this fall.

Anyone interested in taking over our Tiny Seed CSA subscription?

We have been getting a lovely box of veggies each week from Tiny Seed farm, but we are in the middle of a kitchen renovation and it has been a struggle to try and cook with the diverse amount of foods they send when all of our kitchen stuff is packed away. We didn't know we'd be doing this renovation when we signed up earlier this year. I feel bad that I'm not able to fully utilize everything in these boxes and we just got word that our kitchen will not be finished for several more weeks, so I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in taking over our subscription. The CSA runs until October 19th. We get a large (family) share each week and it's $29/week. There are six weeks left in the season, so the total would be $174. If anyone is interested or has any questions, let me know! Thanks!

Foster homes will need to be in the Pittsburgh, PA area, with a secure visibly fenced in yard. First We have a two year old male, that will need a foster home as an only dog... (seen in the trio of pictures) Marshall is a wonderful boy, - we are working with a trainer to help him be the Best that he can Be.. he is up to date on shots, and neutered. - Nice, Nice boy, just needs someone's patience and care while we search for his new loving forever home. PLEASE.Second, we have a 6 year old female that was found wandering ... she had been out on the run for Months... underneath her coat, she is a bag of Bones. She would do best in a home with a male dog. This pretty girl will just need to recover some, and gain some much needed weight, We can take care of her remaining vetting, and find her a new forever home. Can you, Can anyone, PLEASE HELP US - HELP THEM.PLEASE.

Understandable but unfortunately the young lady, who can only find part-time work, now needs to pay both a security deposit and her first month's rent for a new apartment. Garage or Basement Shelving

Neighbors, We have three kinds of shelving we no longer use or need. Each kind is at least enough for at least five feet of shelving with three shelves per section. The assortment includes: *solid 12” deep wood shelves on metal uprights, *solid 12” wood shelves on wooden uprights (might be IKEA Ivar or it’s predecessor), and *18” slatted (like pallets) shelves for wooden posts (might be IKEA “Hejne”). These include corner shelves that have a mitered (?) edge. There is hardware for almost everything, but the larger “Hejne”pieces will need long screws; those have been lost over the years these have been sitting disassembled. Free. Carol James
