Dangerous intersection @ Highland & Stanton

Hi, neighbors - My daughter was walking to Obama from Highland Park this morning and was hit by a car while crossing N. Highland at Stanton Avenue. The driver (who stopped to make sure she was ok) was turning from Stanton onto Highland and both hadn’t used a turn signal and had the sun in their eyes. Thankfully my daughter is ok - bruised up and unsettled, but otherwise alright. I wanted to write to the neighborhood about this to: a) Remind all of us, as pedestrians, to be extraordinarily careful when crossing the street at Stanton and N. Highland. Cars regularly turn there without using their signals or showing any sign of adjusting their behavior when there’s foot traffic. b) Remind all of us, as drivers, to yield to pedestrians, give them the info they need for crossing safely (eg by using turn signals when turning), and to proceed with caution when the sun is rising/setting and causing issues with visibility - not limited to but very especially near schools when students are arriving/departing. Free Beddinge (lovas) futon with storage box underneath and with new grey cover

Hello! We have a futon we would like to have a new life in a new home. It is the Beddinge one from IKEA (it is called Lovas now I think ). It has an attached storage box to keep your bedding linens or whatever you want. We bought a new grey cover last year and it has been well maintained. There is everything except the 'decor pillows'. We are located in Wexford now but if you are willing to drive there and pick it up is all yours if you need it. It is assembled and needs a lot of space in the vehicle . [For Sale] West Elm Mid-Century Bar Cart and Side Table

Hi! We are finishing up a renovation and are looking to refresh some of our furniture. We're selling our side table and bar cart. They were purchased a few years ago from West Elm in Bakery Square. Both are in great condition, but do have some small signs of regular wear and tear. The bar cart has two small scuffs (one on the top of one of the handles and one on one of the legs) and some small imperfections in the wood on the top shelf that were there when we bought the cart.
