Northbound Highland Park Bridge Ramp to Freeport Road CLOSING

PennDOT District 11 is announcing the long-term closure of the ramp from the northbound Highland Park Bridge to Freeport Road (Sharpsburg Exit) in Sharpsburg Borough, Allegheny County, will begin Monday, August 29 weather permitting. Beginning at approximately 6 a.m. on Monday, the ramp from northbound Highland Park Bridge to Freeport Road (Sharpsburg Exit) will close to traffic around-the-clock through early February 2023. Crews will conduct reconstruction work, bridge rehabilitation, and drainage improvements on the ramp. Our cat, momma or Lili, was last seen earlier today, Sunday, around 5:30-am. She recently adopted us with her 5 kittens. She's currently outdoor due to one kitten still being outdoors..... She always stays around our house.....comes running when called...... she 1 1/2 years old, 7 lbs, very trim build. Browns in coloring with a white patch on her belly. FREE Admission to Romare Bearden Exhibition

You may have heard about The Frick Pittsburgh's current exhibition, Romare Bearden: Artist as Activist and Visionary. Thanks to a generous donor, admission is now free for all through Sept. 4. Bearden was an alum of Peabody High School and lived with his grandparents here in Pittsburgh during part of his childhood. His colorful collage work is great for all ages!

Filtered Water

Hi, Does anyone know where to get filtered water locally? The old Whole Foods on Centre Ave had a filtered water dispenser where you could fill up your own containers. The new Whole Foods on Penn doesn't have one (yet?) as PA regulations have changed and WFs is looking for a manufacturer/installer who can meet the new regulations. Thanks, Linda

New Location: We will meet at the far end of Frick Park Lawn Bowling Greens, 7300 Reynolds Street (in the shade next to the bowling greens) *Tuesday Yoga* 8 a.m. Outside weather permitting: gentle flow: stretch, strengthen and balance.
