This year Halloween will take place on Monday, October 31 and kids will go door-to-door in their neighborhoods in search of their favorite treats. In all Pittsburgh neighborhoods, trick-or-treating will occur from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The City reminds residents to drive with caution and slow down during trick-or-treating hours. Let’s all do our part to keep our kids safe and be on the lookout for any risks. For a safe trick-or-treating experience, follow these tips: - Decorate costumes and bags with reflective tape or stickers and, if possible, choose light colors. - Choose face paint and makeup instead of masks if possible to reduce the risk obstructing a child's vision. - Have kids carry flashlights to help them see and be seen by drivers. - Make sure costumes are the correct size to prevent trips and falls. - If you are escorting children, please keep an eye on the road for vehicles. - Don't walk on the street. Free: dog crates and nepresso pods

Moving and have some things to give away: 1. Two dog crates: one small metal crate that has never been used and one carrier crate that is probably for for a small-medium sized dog (our 60 pound dog likely would not have fit in the carrier crate after she hit 45 pounds) . 2. A handful of nepresso espresso pods: the Altisso and Diavolitto flavors. We no longer use this kind of machine! Molly

Plants for free or almost free

Hello fellow gardeners! I am dividing some plants (mostly aloe, some schefflera and a couple of others) and I run out of space to put them on. Picture is attached, they are healthy and with good roots but will need to be potted soon. I don't want to leave them outside in case it becomes chilly at night, so please let me know if you would like some and I could place them in front of my garage for you. Free perennial daisies

Free perennial daisies (white with yellow center) in plastic bags on the sidewalk uphill from 5505 Margaretta St. I think these are Shasta daisies but make no promises. Be aware that they will spread quickly! If you want more than one bag bring an extra plastic bag, I ran out so some are loose. First come first serve! Please don't take anything other than the plastic bags of plants. :)
