Free dining room table; pine, round to oblong with 2 leaves. Table in very good condition. It is on the porch at 6362 Jackson, as of Tuesday morning; just pick it up and it's yours. The table is disassembled and assembly requires only placing 4 thumb screws, which are on the porch with the table. 4 chairs are included. The spindles on the chairs are a little loose and need to be re glued. otherwise, the chairs are in good shape. Olga Watkins

Hi, I am a Highland Park person and have contributed to this list before so I wondered why I was getting message saying I was a non- member. The only thing I could think of was that I was using a different e-mail. My previous one, which I will be using in future but can't at the moment, was jai(a)vision-and-values.com. Also, pre Thanksgiving I sent a message compiled of transcriptionist suggestions I received from the neighborhood. That still hasn't been posted. Can you please correct what's going on, and let me know what the problem was too. Hello Neighbors, Some of you may recognize my name as the person who emailed so many times about an impending adoption. The good news is that we brought our little Ana home from Russia in October. I promised to send a picture out when she was here - so I have attached one. Thanks so much to everyone who helped us along our journey!! Now on to the next phase! I'm looking for information on the following things: 1. Does anyone know of any nearby Mother's Day Out programs that they would recommend? 2. We are considering part time in-home help while I work and are trying to get a feel for the costs. If anyone is doing something similar and wouldn't mind sharing what they pay per hour, that would be greatly appreciated! We are looking at about 20 hours per week. 3. I'm also interested in finding out about any play groups or other programs/activities for little ones. Ana will be 15 mos. in December, but because she was premature and was also delayed due to circumstances, she is closer to a 12-13 mos. old at this point but should catch up quickly. St. Andrew's Episcopal Church 5801 Hampton Street, Highland Park With the pending retirement of our long-time Church Secretary, St. Andrew's is seeking a well-organized person with good computer (MS Office) and office management skills and experience. This is a "front door" position, and the Church Secretary must be a service-oriented person who can blend a spirit of hospitality and good humor with professionalism and who can interact well with other staff, members of the congregation, and the wider community. A daily mix of routine tasks, while always "expecting the unexpected." The position is half-time (20 hours), with very occasional over-time. The current schedule is Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 noon, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m., but we will have some flexibility in creating a new schedule to make this work for the right candidate. We'd like the new Church Secretary to be in place immediately after the new year, with the possibility of some initial orientation and training in the later part of December if possible.
