[Highland Park] Housing needed anytime in July

I am half of an about-to-be-married couple, and we'd like to stay in Highland Park after the August 1 wedding. Ideally, we'd like enough space to host 2 guests, and we'd love some form of outdoor space, be it yard, porch, or balcony. We are open to creative arrangements (e.g. you have a 3rd floor apartment without a private entrance and don't mind us growing [and sharing!] tomatoes in your backyard—that sort of thing). We like it when we know our landlord. Budget is not finalized, so at this point, we are open to hearing about any opportunities. Thanks for your consideration.

A position is available at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 5801 Hampton St., Highland Park for our Nursery Attendant. Hours Sunday mornings 8:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. (During the months of July and August the hours are 8:15-11:15) The Nursery Attendant supervises the Nursery with care for a small number of infants and toddlers (up to age 4) during the Sunday morning worship and education hours. Previous childcare experience and references are required. The position is paid and background checks and a (paid) child abuse recognition/prevention training session are required by the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh and our insurance company. There are opportunities for other church related child-care "gigs," but they are not required. It is also a good position for someone looking to expand their base of families who need regular/intermittent childcare help. Dear Neighbors - I have again confirmed my arrangements to have a speaker from Alcosan to present at this week's meeting to discuss the ongoing situation with bringing our water treatment, as well as water collection, up to current government requirements. Nancy E. Barylak, Manager of Public Relations for Alcosan, confirmed that they will be at our meeting on Thursday, 16 APR 09. We will be conducting our General Board Meeting starting at 7:00 PM, then we shall hear what Alcosan has to say as to our future starting around 7:30 PM. He's got excellent references and works in the arts with youth at the Manchester Craftsmen's Guild. He lives well outside of town right now and the commute is wearing him down. [Highland Park] Volunteer for the Highland Park Waterstop for the Marathon, May 3rd

The Marathon volunteer organizers are looking for hundreds of volunteers for the May 3rd race around Pittsburgh. Please consider donating your time that morning to make this Pittsburgh showpiece event a success. The return of our marathon has attracted the largest number of athletes ever and each water stop requires an energetic team of volunteers. Please go to the Marathon web site at <www.pittsburghmarathon.org> then, "Volunteer/Volunteer Activities" Look at the "Waterstop Mile 20.5" which is located along N. Highland Ave between Hampton and Bryant, and register. They also need a large team at the Waterstop 19.5 between Frankstown and Larimer on E. This message is from Off-The-Floor Pittsburgh, a non-profit, non-denominational organization that provides furniture to families in great need. We are in dire need of cribs for this season. It seems that we have numerous babies that we are to deliver to this coming season, and have no cribs at all in our warehouse. Is it possible that each of you could post some type of ad in your weekly bulletin asking for donations of cribs? At this point we could use anything that people would donate. Because of the economy - the recipient numbers are way up, and our donors are down. We sure could use the help, if you would be so kind.
