Hi neighbors - A neighbor who moved recently gave us their 10 foot portable, adjustable height basketball hoop and it's not going to work in our yard. Hi Neighbors, I dug up a rather large flowering plant from our front yard. It has already bloomed for the season, but it is pretty and I'd hate to see it end up in a trash bin. I am so not a gardener, so I can't tell you what the plant is, nor if it came from bulbs (didn't examine it closely), but I'm sure that someone will know what it is upon sight. Greetings, I am a relative newcomer to Highland Park (and Pittsburgh) and have discovered carpenter bees and their nests in my stand-alone garage. Is carpenter bee infestation a common problem in the area? Can I expect these insects to return every spring? I am debating whether to hire an exterminator for one-time removal and wood treatment; hire an exterminator for removal and annual wood treatment; or tackle the problem myself, and would appreciate any information relevant to making a decision.
