[Highland Park] Cat sitter / vet tech?

I am looking for a cat-sitter, with a possible twist on previous requests - due to some medical conditions they have, I am really looking for a sitter who is or has been a vet tech, or has comparable experience with medicating cats (pills and eyedrops). Alternatively, if anyone happens to use Chris Elliott, who used to be a vet tech at VCA Fox Chapel, he's usually my sitter but I have been unable to reach him for some time now. If anyone has his new contact information and knows whether he's still pet-sitting, I'd be delighted to get back in touch with him. Thanks, Stacey

[Highland Park] Bathroom Remodel

We're looking to do a complete remodel on a second-floor bathroom in our 100+ year-old house. This will mean (1) removing all the old subway and hex tile (much of which is cracked, and all of which is concreted in); (2) installing new retro subway and hex tile, and removing one small partition so that we can replace the modern tub that a prior owner put in with an original claw-foot tub. Does anyone know a reliable, competent bathroom remodeler who'd be up to this kind of task? We're looking to get this thing done in the next couple of months. Thanks -- Jack

Hi, everyone! Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be starting my Daycamp/Daycare this Saturday (July 11). I still have a few spaces open if anyone is interested in coming! Here's all the info again: Saturday Daycare and Playgroup East End: Highland Park 9am-1pm, $30 Need some time to run errands? Have lunch with friends? Take a nap?! I am a young, energetic mom of a 3-year old boy, so I understand the value of having a few hours to yourself! I am holding a Saturday daycare at my home in Highland Park. We have a lot of space here for your children to enjoy, including 2 playrooms and a backyard with a sandbox. I am a creative, loving person with 8+ years working with both typical developing and special needs children. I have a diverse and unique professional background; I worked as a home school teacher and I am certified as a Behavior Analyst. Your kids will have a great time and make some new friends! Activities include: -treasure hunts -arts & crafts -story time -water play -dress up -imaginary play -sandbox play -board games -baking -adventure/nature walks in our backyard A healthy, all-organic lunch and organic snacks will be provided. [Highland Park] dog cleanup

Dear Neighbors: On my way back from walking our dogs this lovely evening my son & I came upon a man in his 20s walking a husky. The dog relieved himself on the sidewalk at the corner of Bryant and Negley and the owner stuck out a blue bag (for show, I guess) but did not clean up after his dog. He then crossed the street, met up with a girl, and I saw the dog squat again & again the owner did nothing. I don't like doing this, but I called across the street to let the man know that he forgot to clean up after his dog & he raised his arm dismissively at me. I then said that people don't appreciate finding dog feces in front of their houses. He obviously did not care. I'm upset about this but feel powerless in this situation. Please look out for this dog owner and for others who disrespectfully allow their dogs to soil our beautiful neighborhood and give all dog owners a bad name. If you witness such behavior, please make a point to say something. I don't know how else we can change this sort of behavior. Jana
