Dear Friends and Neighbors, I'm working with a wonderful local non-profit organization, The Pittsburgh Harlequins, at Founders Field, just off of Route 910 near Emmerling Park. We are hosting an Open House on Sunday, March 21 from noon until 4 PM. This is a beautiful and very private venue that can be rented for any type of celebration -- wedding, anniversary, birthday, graduation or corporate events. Please stop by if you're able to. It's worth the visit whether you're in the market for a special event or not. There will be food and drink. [Highland Park] Negley Run Clean-Up

Hello everyone! My name is Loralyn Fabian and I am a new Green Project Associate with East Liberty Development Inc. and Nathan Wildfire. There is a project that I would like to inform everyone in the Highland Park neighborhood about: *A larger clean-up day for the Negley Run Blvd. slopes* along Highland Park, East Liberty, and Larimer borders! Negley Run is a green space in our neighborhoods that could someday be a great asset for our communities’ environment, economy, and health. However, it is currently completely littered with garbage. So, the first baby step to revitalizing this green space is through picking up the litter. I would like to invite you, and everyone from the Highland Park neighborhood to help in the Negley Run clean-up process! We currently will have 100+ CMU students volunteering *March 27th from 12 PM to 4 PM* for the event. We are reaching out to you and other community group leaders and environmental organizations in the area *to be the experienced Team Leaders the day of the event and to help further recruit additional volunteers*. We are also hoping to recruit volunteers and Team Leaders from Larimer and East Liberty. Neighbors: We found several keys in little manila envelopes in the 5800 block of Elgin Street on Sunday. Not sure if they were lost recently or had been buried under the snow for a while! Everyone, I am having visitors at my house this Friday and could really use a service to come in to clean before then. If you are looking for work and have time for quick job this week - ours is not a large house - and you have references you can share, please drop me a line. This could turn into a regular opportunity (every 2-4 weeks), if it turns out well. I started last week trying a number of different options, including calling a couple of maid services for cleaning this week, but the smaller operations don't have space for another client and the larger businesses have not called me back.
