Please forward this to the Highland Park community list. Our annual Holiday sing-along will be at 8 pm on Friday, Dec. 10 at the home of Sherry Goldman and Marty Sivitz in Highland Park. Please phone 412-215-9631 for the address. We will sing Chanukah and Christmas songs mostly in parts to enhance the beauty of the music. We will use songbooks we've assembled plus choral music which Sherry and Marty own. If you wish, please bring refreshments to share. Please reply to RSVP or to send me titles of songs you'd like to sing so I could then make 10 copies and include them in our songbooks. A list of the songs already in the songbooks and/or owned by Sherry & Marty will be sent on request.

Hello Neighbors! Next Saturday, December 11 from 11 AM - 5 PM is our KST Holiday Bazaar! Whether you are starting or finishing your holiday shopping, the KST Holiday Bazaar is the perfect opportunity to reward family, friends, and co-workers who have been nice this year. Visitors are invited to shop handmade items by local artisans, satisfy their sweet tooth with vegan baked goods and treats, and tap into their creative side with Henna Art on the Spot. [Highland Park] A Green Energy Choice in Pittsburgh

Hi neighbors... I just discovered that Duquesne Light is not the only game in town when it comes to providing electricity. They are still the distributors, but we now have a choice when determining where that energy comes from. A friend of mine, Michael Stadtlander, is a rep for Viridian, a new choice for providing green energy. If you're interested in learning more, check out this website.... http://viridian.com/greenenergycompany/Custom/CUST077/PersonalPages/rp_pa.a… This particular page shows the rates of their different products... they have a 20% green product and a 100% green product. Make sure to click on the Duquesne Light tab, if that's who provides your current service. It saved me money compared to what I'm paying now with DL and it will probably save you some too... plus it's better for the environment. [Highland Park] robberies in the area

Through friends and friends of friends, I've heard of 8 armed robberies and muggings in the past week. The suspects' descriptions and actions all sound similar. They have been in 3 parts of Friendship, 2 on Stanton Ave near N. Negley (close to the Union Project), 1 in Bloomfield (80 year old woman carrying her groceries home), and 2 in the 9th ward of Lawrenceville. Please be safe everybody. Hopefully the police are working extra hard on this as it is a serious threat to the public.
