[Highland Park] Ask City Council to Expand The Environmental Charter School

Hello Highland Park Neighbors! Thanks to many of you for signing the online petition I sent around last month asking you to support the expansion of the Environmental Charter School. I am excited to announce that on December 7th, we received a unanimous approval from the City Planning Commission to move forward with the expansion, however, we still need approval from City Council. For those that don't know, the school is currently located on Milton Street in Regent Square. The school is looking to acquire the former Park Place School building on Braddock Ave, across from Shady Side Academy Jr. School. That building would then provide space for students in grades K through 3. The current building will then accommodate students in grades 4 through 8. On Wed, January 19 at 1:30pm, a public hearing will be held in front of City Council to discuss this matter and hopefully approve the expansion. Now is the time to let our City Council Members know that the community wants this expansion. Selling a few item: TV: $45. It's a 32 inch TV in working condition. Flat screen but with a deep back. Bed: $100. Queen size high quality bed, no mattress. Table and chairs: $ 100. Solid wood top. Dresser: $75. It has a small stain on the top. Very solid build. Bedside Table: $45. Not sure what this table is made out of but it's very heavy. Glass top table: $65. This table has a leather boarder with glass top and decorated iron legs, nice piece. IKEA Effective office set: $250 takes it all. L-shaped office desk, several file cabinets and book shelf is also available. I have pictures to send to anyone interested, file is too large to post on the list. Tom

Hey Neighbors, I'm looking for someone who is interested in helping me out and getting compensated for it. I need someone to knit me a camera pouch and line it with something protective for my large camera body and battery grip. I'd imagine this to be a weekend project and I would buy the materials according to your specifications.
