Dear neighbors, The South Asian Youth Summit is seeking host families for 21 young people from Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives who will be participating in a 17-day program in Pittsburgh. During the day, the students will visit local agencies and student groups, participate in leadership and community development workshops, and meet lots of Pittsburghers. As a host family, you will have the chance to learn about another culture, share your own traditions, and best of all, build new relationships! [Highland Park] Missing Siberian Huskies

Dear Neighbors: Our Siberian Huskies, Baldr (male--red/brown and white, abt 55 lbs) and Freya (female--silver and white, abt 35 lbs) escaped from our yard early this morning and have not returned. I last saw them on Jackson street, near King, heading towards Stanton Ave. We have combed the neighborhood looking for them in vain. They are both incredibly friendly and sweet and will usually go to anyone who calls them. They have collars with our address and phone number on them, and they are also both chipped. We are frantic with worry about them, and hope that one of you has seen them in the neighborhood. [Highland Park] Boston Marathon Runners?

Hi Neighbors, I am sending this for my husband who is running in the Boston marathon this year. He would like to know if there is anyone else from Highland Park who is running and would like to meet in Boston. He is also looking for a ride to the starting line buses on race day. These are the buses that take runners from downtown Boston to the start of the race. He is staying in a hotel in Waltham. Best regards, Caroline

2005 Gary Fisher, Tassajara Genesis mountain bike. Tuned in June 2010 and ridden less than 5 times since. New pedals (one side of the pedals are flat for regular shoes, the other side clips into biking shoes) All greased up and ready to go! It's a really sweet ride. I wish I had time to do it justice. You can see the specs on the Gary Fisher webpage archives: http://fisherbikes.com/bike/archivemodel/178 It's had moderate/infrequent use in general. Tires are in good shape Would be a good bike for someone who needs to replace a mountain bike or get into mountain biking, but who doesn't want to spend retail money. Summary: --17.5" frame (will fit a person 5'4"-5'8") --Deore and Deore LX components --Hard tail, front suspension system, gives a firm but less jarring ride: Manitou Axel Elite w/TPC Lock-Out | 100mm travel --Smaller hand grips and a shorter top tube for its size make this a bike more well suited for smaller-framed folks; though it's still a hard core mountain bike. Selling for $550 on Craigslist, but will come down to $450 for Highland Parkers. Best! Becky
