I posted several weeks ago asking whether folks has board games to spare for my pediatric home health care patient. Many of your responded most generously. I wanted to take a quick moment to let you know that the boy is enjoying his new games immensely. He is really laughing and interacting a lot more than before and I think receiving care is now a fun experience for him. [Highland Park] HPCC Meeting this Thursday

Please join us this Thursday, 4/21 starting at 7 PM for the April meeting of the Highland Park Community Council. This month we will be at the Union Project (821 N. Negley Ave). Besides our business and announcements, we will have a number of folks present to talk about school-related issues. Pittsburgh Public Schools Panel Discussion with District 2 Candidates - Please join the Highland Park Community Council to learn more about your District 2 PPS board member candidates and other developments in the school district. The Pittsburgh Public Schools primary will be held on May 17, 2011. District 2 candidates include Dara Allen and Regina Hollley. The District 2 PPS board member will represent Highland Park, Morningside, Stanton Heights, Lawrenceville and other neighborhoods. Both candidates will speak briefly, provide information on their campaign and answer questions. Fulton School - Kevin Bivens, the principal of Fulton K-5, will also be speaking on community engagement at Fulton. School Grounds Greening - Jessica McNally of the Western PA Conservancy's School Grounds Greening Project will also speak about their efforts. We look forward to seeing you there! [Highland Park] Sherwin Williams Halcyon Green - Harmony Line - 2 Gallons

We recently bought 2 gallons of Sherwin Williams Interior Paint in the Harmony Line, Color Halcyon Green (SW6213) Eggshell finish. Both are unopened as we discovered we bought the wrong color. The Harmony line is Sherwin Williams water based low odor and ZERO VOC line and usually a gallon goes for about $45. Its really a great line, we've used it throughout our home. I am looking to get rid of both gallons for $45 total..that's right for both! Great deal at our mistake. The three sheet metal sculptures (fish bowl, vase, tea cup) were made by a former tenant of mine, Greg Karkowski, who is a local artist and is becoming quite well-known. Who knows- this stuff could be worth a great deal if he becomes really famous!!!! Stop over to take a look and make an offer!
