Hello Neighbors, I am selling my Gas powered Ryobi SS330 weed wacker since I have no real use for it. I bought this factory reconditioned from Ryobi 2 yrs ago and have used it probably only 5 times. I have no real need for it and hoped someone on this list might. This starts like a charm (just started it today in fact!) It comes with the manual and as you will see from the pics I also added the Monster Cutter to the head to use instead of the string, but I still have all of the pieces for the original unit for you to take as well if you want to put that back on and use the string. [Highland Park] Campaign for CAPA school

Dear neighbors, You might already know it because it has been in the news, but just in case you don't I will tell you. CAPA 6-12 school in Pittsburgh is one of the 6 finalists for the White House Commencement challenge this year, and the winner will have Obama giving the speech at Graduation. Lots of kids from Highland Park and the areas around it go to CAPA, and quite a few of them are graduating this year from there, including my daughter. Thus, I am asking you please to vote for CAPA for this event. You can vote from today till the 29th, at http://www.whitehouse.gov/commencement. Then Obama will choose between the three schools with more votes. More or less an "American Idol", but other kind. So.... Please vote for CAPA. It should be easy, just give it a 5, will you? Thanks! Hi Neighbors. I was written by a few of you asking me to post my findings. I had a few neighbors give me tips of self-removal such a covering up and washing the oils off right away. I also had two recs. come my way as well and wanted to share those with you. Steve Swope has been caring for my yard since last summer - he's wonderful. [Highland Park] How to win friends and influence people

Hi Everyone, I wanted to comment on a little trend that I've noticed of late on the listserv: that is, individuals airing a grievance in such a way as they appear to be addressing the entire listserv audience - and rather rudely, at that. I think it's important when using a public message board such as this one to complain about something that we try retain a sense of civility. This includes using a friendly opening (Dear Neighbors/Hello Everyone, etc.) and more importantly; writing with the assumption that the overwhelming majority of people we are addressing are NOT guilty of the behavior of which we complain. It's so easy to misinterpret the tone with which something is written when we don't have verbal or visual cues to accompany our words, and I've read a few emails over the last few days that have basically come off as pretty accusatory and unfriendly. It kind of rubs me the wrong way when I feel like I'm being reprimanded for something I didn't do. So, this is just a gentle plea to try to keep things friendly, and operate under the assumption that we are all innocent until proven guilty. Anything else *just comes off as being rude*…. if you know what I mean :) Cheers, Catherine

Hi neighbors, I'm not sure if spring is the right time to divide creeping phlox (I'm hoping someone will tell me if it's not), but that's the assumption I'm operating on at the moment. Does anyone happen to have any creeping phlox (or other similar ground covers) that they are willing to divide and share? I'm trying to cover an unsightly and root-covered slope. Thanks! Leah Helou
