Today I was with my two kids and this man came to our door selling an alarm system from Vivint. I told him clearly "NO THANK YOU" through the window of my front door - he persisted and persisted. After three two times of telling him to leave his information and if we were interested we would contact him he finally left, and quite upset at that. Just a note - I never did opened my door and he still didn't seem to get it. The interaction was uncomfortable verging on "should I call 911". Just a heads up.

Hi, Neighbors, I started cleaning out my garage this morning, and have left some items in the alley behind the garage that can be taken by anyone who wants them. They include: seedling trays (the kind plants come from the nursery in), plastic plant pots, a small animal cage, and three bicycles (quite old, and not ridden in probably eight years or more). Whatever is not taken will be left for trash pick up on Tuesday. The address is 5709 Rippey Street, in East Liberty. The alley behind is Shuttle Way, and runs from North Euclid to North St. Clair. The garage is a four-car stone structure with two brown doors. pat

Summer has officially begun, but there's still plenty of time to get that annoying yard work or project completed. You need someone to do it who is honest, fair and hard working, personable and attentive. You'd like a one or two man crew to finally finish up that busy work that you don't have time for, but you can't decide who. My name is Ethan Osterhout, and I'm certain that I can do the work for you. I'm a college student with years of experience in this field, and the earnings I've made can back it up. Most of the calls I get come from the ads I post on here, but the clear second place winner are calls from people who had friends that referred them to me. I have a full-sized pickup truck, plenty of tools, a great attention to detail and a great reputation. If you read this and a certain task pops into your mind that you think I could do, don't hesitate to call me at 412-537-5296, between 8 am to 8 pm, Monday through Saturday. Also, please specify if you'd like additional workers. PLEASE NOTE: Just yesterday (6/30/2011), a few friends and I completed a large landscaping project that ate up all of my time and availability. By one way or another, my answers for when we would be done were underestimated, and I accept full responsibility for that. Anyone who contacted me and were dissuaded to employ me because of this should know that the job was tedious and time-sensitive, making it difficult to pinpoint a clear completion date. My point is that I didn't mean to blow anyone off, and I apologize if it seemed that way to anyone. Because it's done however, I have a clear schedule, so get your calls in before it fills up.
