Is anyone looking to make a little extra money doing yard work? If so, I have between 1/2 and 1 full day's worth of work: mowing, weeding, and trimming a very overgrown hedge. I keep telling myself I'll get around to it, and other things keep getting in the way, so I thought I'd see if anyone is interested or available before things get even more out of hand! This if for any neighbors who make regular trips to the Freeport Road/ Waterworks Plaza area. I'm seeing a chiropractor at 1331 Freeport Road 3 times a week, and am having a terrible time with the unreliability of the buses that go there. The chiropractor is willing to adjust my schedule to fit any rides I can find, and I'm willing to help pay for gas. They are open on Saturday, closed on Thursday and Sunday. Mulch Madness continues at Fulton Elementary Tuesday, July 12 at 6p Lots of new volunteers are adding to the fun of digging and mulching - it really is fun when you're working with good people. Come see what I'm talking about. If you can't come, you can always volunteer by: collecting newspapers and putting them in the container in the alcove between the two front doors of the school donating water or other beverages for our thirsty volunteers - just drop by with it on Tuesday around 6 or 7p fostering some plants - there are bearded irises by the mulch that you can enjoy and then give us a cutting back when we're ready to plant in the Spring. Stop by the school and pick up a root or two today. telling friends and neighbors about our project and inviting them to volunteer Big News! The School Grounds Greening Program will be giving the school a plan for planting shade trees and other sustainable plants which will make the garden a more inviting place for classes to be held on hot days. This will compliment the work that we are doing in the ornamental part of the garden. See you Tuesday. Margot

Sighing as I depart with my last film camera- but sadly admitting that film processing is a hobby of my past. I hope there are some of you darkroom lovers left out there. Or maybe just someone who has room to display antiques, hahaha. Minolta STsi Maxxum with extra attachment Promaster FTD 6500M flash, AF 28-80mm lens and AF 70-210 zoom lens. Some filters and other extras like lens cloth and liquid, roll of film and good condition cloth carrying case that fits everything neatly. If you love film, buy my camera. [Highland Park] For Sale - Antique Secretary/Bookcase

Hello Neighbors, I have an antique secretary/bookcase that I need to sell. I inherited it when a family member passed away so I have no idea how old it is or anything about its history. It shows a little wear and has a couple of marks on it, but for the most part it is in very good condition. I used it in my house in Highland Park for a couple of years and it went really well with the old look and feel of the place. I actually used it in the dining room and put dishes in it. I recently moved out of the neighborhood (now in Glenshaw, about 7 miles north) and have no where to use this piece in my new house. Asking $100 for it. Let me know if you're interested.
