The PO on Old Freeport Road has a machine that allows one to weigh and order postage for packages, too, so you don't have to stand in line. Unfortunately, neither the E Liberty nor the Bloomfield office have this. In a message dated 10/16/2011 8:35:27 P.M. [Highland Park] Possible problem with my rubber band collect for the USPS

Hello HP Neighbors, I have received many emails letting me know people thought this was a good idea. I had one person who wrote about a postal worker at the Post Office emptying the out side bin and throwing the rubber bands that where on Christmas Cards on the ground. So my suggestion is that you ask your postman in person or leave him a note to see if he wants them back so they can be reused. I hope he is like my Postman and wants them back. Thanks, Brian I know this is a very small thing but I get a lot of mail and it mostly comes with rubber bands. I asked my Postman if he could reuse them and would like me to but them out for him to reuse when I saved bunch. He said definitely that he would reuse them until they where worn out. So I'm asking for all of us to save the rubber bands, if you get them, and leave them out for your Postman when you accumulate a bunch. I try to be as green as I can and reusing even such small things as rubber bands is much better than just tossing them in the trash and imagine if everyone did this how much money the USPS would save over the long haul. I suggest that we actually use the USPO. I had a package to send and UPS wanted $11.00 with a 5 day delivery. The USPO charged me $5.15 with a 2 day delivery..... Hi, Several weeks ago I requested recommendations for a photographer and I was overwhelmed with the responses. Thank you all so much! Based on several requests, I am attaching a list of all of the recommendations I received. Not all of the contact information is complete but if you do a Google search on most of the photographers additional information can be found. We opted to go with Libby Hilf and had our photo session today.
