[Highland Park] Tailoring Help Needed

My husband, being a bit on the shorter side, has several pieces of clothing which need to be altered. Mostly, he needs to have an inch or two taken off of the length of a few pairs of pants, but he also has a coat with sleeves that need to be taken up. While I am a whiz with yarn and a hook, I am kind of a failure with a needle and thread, so I need to find someone who can do the alterations for him. Is there anyone in the neighborhood who does this kind of thing? Or can anyone give me a recommendation? Thanks! Julie

Hi neighbors, Many of my 10+ houseplants are infested with pesky fungus gnats. Does anyone have any left over Gnatrol or Knock-out Gnats (or any other biological insecticide containing Bacillus thuringiensis--BTi)? I thought I'd check with all my fellow gardeners before shelling out $25 for an enormous amount of the stuff! If I end up buying it, I'm happy to share with anyone else who has overwatered their poor plants. Thanks, Laura

Hi Neighbors. My office in the Strip is looking for a part-time support person to assist with scanning documents, filing, and special projects. Office hours are 8:30-5:30 M-F, and we’d need someone at least 15-20 hours a week. Hours are extremely flexible, so this would be perfect for a stay-at-home parent with kids in school, or a college student who had some daylight hours available. This position does not offer benefits.
