[Highland Park] New wellness center in East Liberty!

Hi everyone! I am a Highland Parker who is opening a brand new wellness center in East Liberty! It is called East End Eden Wellness Center, and you can learn all about us at: www.eastendedenpgh.com. We are located in the light and beautiful Liberty Bank Building, on the Mezzanine, at 6101 Penn Avenue (a block down from the new Target). We are a collective of independent alternative health care practitioners. We currently have two outstanding massage therapists, with a couple more joining us in January. We are connecting with other health coaches, too, so keep an eye out... there will be updates shortly. We also will offer Yoga for Stress Management on Thursday mornings, and will be announcing some more workshops in the next couple weeks. There will be natural skin care workshops, meditation, juicing, nutrition, just to name a few. Don't hesitate to book a session online through our website. (You can also find us on Facebook! Don't forget to "like" us, an easy way to stay informed about events and workshops.) The holiday season can very exciting, but we seldom take the time we need to reduce stress and pain in our lives. [Highland Park] Please Read!! Help a little boy!

Hello all, I am writing asking for a favor. There is a young boy named Max who is currently at Children's Hospital. The chances of him ever leaving that hospital are not very high. I am not positive of his illness but he is a very sick little boy. When he was asked what his one wish was his answer was Christmas cards. I work as a TSS in a preschool classroom and all of the students made cards this morning. The more cards this little boy can receive the better! I can only imagine how touched his parents will feel when they see how many strangers took their time to do something to make their boy smile. All I am asking is that you take a few minutes and make a simple card. It does not have to be anything fancy. For those of you who go to Eastminster Church my mom (Cindy Rancurello) will have a few supplies to make cards before/after church this Sunday. If you could get any cards to me by Monday or Tuesday of next week that would be great. If plan on making a card send me an email and I am willing to either come pick it up or I will give you my address to drop it off. Hi neighbors, I've posted through the listserv before about my availability as a nanny/babysitter and have always appreciated the responses. I thought I would try it again as my schedule has opened up and see if anyone in the neighborhood is looking for a part time nanny or babysitter. I'm 29 years old and a recent graduate from Pitt with my Masters in Social Work, working as a nanny as I continue to look for work in my field. I've had extensive experience working with and babysitting children of all ages and needs and can provide excellent references from Highland Park and Pittsburgh families I've worked with in the past. I have all my clearances up to date, I am certified in CPR/First Aid and have my own car.
