[Highland Park] Highland Park Community Picnic

On July 27 (postponed because of rain), we attended the Friendship Community Picnic. It was quite nice and afforded the opportunity to meet people. Is there any interest in Highland Park doing the same? We could get a grove in the park. The listing for the Friendship picnic is below in blue. Who's up for attending this and who would like to organize it? We've got good weather for a few more weeks. "Mark your calendars for Friday, July 20 at 6:30 for the Friendship Community Picnic at Baum Grove. We supply the burgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers and drinks. Bring a side dish to share. We need volunteers for cleanup after the picnic at 8:30."

Last year, we saw a crew of Amish workers installing a roof here in our neighborhood but I no longer remember the street or the house. Hi All: Like Amy, we too have a number of boxes (various sizes from USPS small box to several large toilet-paper packing boxes - most are mid-size, good for packing books, kitchenware, etc.). All in good shape and many were official 'moving boxes' bought by a friend of ours who passed them onto us. We also have a large garbage bag full of wrapping paper and bubble wrap. Please email me with interest and I'll give you an address for pickup. If they're not gone by Monday, we'll put them out for recycling.
