On July 27 (postponed because of rain), we attended the Friendship Community Picnic. It was quite nice and afforded the opportunity to meet people. Is there any interest in Highland Park doing the same? We could get a grove in the park. The listing for the Friendship picnic is below in blue. Who's up for attending this and who would like to organize it? We've got good weather for a few more weeks. "Mark your calendars for Friday, July 20 at 6:30 for the Friendship Community Picnic at Baum Grove. We supply the burgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers and drinks. Bring a side dish to share. We need volunteers for cleanup after the picnic at 8:30."
