When: Friday, July 19th 6:30-8:00pm Location: Kenmawr apts - Community Room 401 Shady Ave, Pittsburgh pA 15206 Cost: $20 Tickets: http://bit.ly/JulySisterhoodPGH <https://www.eventbrite.com/e/julys-rethinking-sisterhood-series-for-the-wom…> What to expect: In these sessions, we will focus on body awareness exercises, communicating needs and desires, exploring beliefs around sisterhood, and refining listening skills. This will be done in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. Our Sisterhood meetings will be once a month. I know that you have a lot of options as to how to spend your time and I appreciate your consideration. I invite you to prioritize our monthly meetings as part of your own self-care and social and emotional well-being. It's up to us to prioritize ourselves. There be an optional social hangout afterward. We will start promptly at 6:30 pm. Please make sure you are on time. **The event is located in the Kenmawr building. Which is a big apartment complex (see event description for location.) You can park wherever there's space close to the building. Last fall & winter, the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy conducted a City-wide listening tour to talk about capital & maintenance backlogs at City parks and to collect input from residents on the development of their strategic plan (including presenting at an HPCC Community meeting). The proposed tax increase would fund the investments that were discussed. There is a public meeting tonight on the potential redevelopment of the Shakespeare Giant Eagle, which may include closing or shrinking the store temporarily (6 pm at the Kingsley Center).
