HP Resident Bradford Mumpower Featured Artist in City Steps Project

Hi neighbors, You may have heard that a few non-profits, including Bike Pgh and the GPAC are sponsoring a series of four events across the city that celebrate artists and the Pittsburgh steps! One of those artists, is our very own Highland Park resident, Bradford Mumpower. Brad’s project is in Pittsburgh’s West End neighborhood, where he has been working with local groups to make an exciting day of activities. The culmination of the day is a fashion show, like Pittsburgh has never seen before, with six very talented and diverse designers. A new collection by Bradford will also be a part of this runway show. Often a Pittsburgh runway show happens on a stage or in a large room. This will be nothing like anything Pittsburgh has ever seen before, and the fashion community will be talking about it forever. If you’ve never seen a fashion show, or you love them, this is one to make sure you see! The day’s activities offer something for everyone and it is all free! Dear Neighbors The City of Pittsburgh offers special curbside collection days twice a year to promote environmentally-friendly disposal of your seasonal yard debris. Please check the collection schedule or visit PGH.ST to schedule reminders for upcoming dates. We will collect the following items curbside: Leaves Branches (4" diameter or less) Brush Grass Set-Out Items must be in paper bags weighing less than 35 pounds. No plastic bags! Bundle all branches with fiber twine or natural rope in lengths of 5 feet or less Set these items out at the curb at your regular collection spot before 6:00 a.m. on the morning of the collection day. Free plants

We’re about to start a renovation and I need to rehome some of my potted plants. They are still growing, but are in need of some tlc after a few hiccups with periods of over/under watering. I was trying to nurse them back to health, but now we need to reclaim the space. I have a large red chinese evergreen, a Moses in the cradle, and a spider plant along with several spider plant cuttings. All come in terra cotta pots and/or glass jars for some of the cuttings. Free to a good home! Pick up in Morningside.
