Hello Neighbors, As part of the HPCC's role as the Registered Neighborhood Organization (RCO), when there are projects in the neighborhood that meet certain requirements set by the City, we host public Development Activity Meetings. We'll be hosting such a meeting TONIGHT: *Project Description:* The Zoo proposes to build a new barn for giraffes and other large ungulates. There would be an exterior viewing window similar to the elephant barn. The giraffe yard would be reconfigured, and the pedestrian path around the facility altered. *Meeting Date: *Thursday, May 8 *Time:* 7 pm *Venue:* Zoom, register by clicking this link: https://pitt.zoom.us/meeting/register/cBKEQwW4Ty6d9Bu4aXKP2w#/registration Because this project involves construction within a City park, it must go before the Public Art & Civil Design Commission (PA&CDC). They plan to break ground by the end of the year. City Planning will provide the PA&CDC a summary of the meeting, and the HPCC will send them a letter about any public concerns, or lack thereof. EV tax credit botched by dealer, advice?

in december we bought a hybrid, great car, mazda. the dealer said that we qualified for a tax credit and that was one reason we bought it. dealer never sent the paperwork for the tax credit and we called and called. long story short, our car doesn't qualify for a tax credit, we learned, because mazda stopped doing the admin thing they had to do for this credit further back in 2024. we don't have anything in writing from the dealer, it's all just phone messages. anyway, instead of a 6800 tax refund we we were counting on, we owe taxes. guessing there's nothing we can do ( small claims court?) but in case someone here has a suggestion? joy, out of luck, probably

Hi neighbors, We’re so excited to share that our *6-week Tai Chi in the Park* series is returning this spring—starting *Saturday, May 10* at 9:00 AM in *Highland Park*! 🌿 This series is open to *all levels*, whether you're brand new or already familiar with Tai Chi. Each class focuses on gentle movement, mindful breathwork, and building balance—physically and mentally.
