>From the Mayor's Office: BI-ANNUAL YARD DEBRIS COLLECTION IS SATURDAY APRIL 20 The *Department of Public Works (DPW) Environmental Services* will hold the first of its bi-annual yard debris collection <https://pittsburghpa.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e562dca418a41a4ab246…> events on *Saturday, April 20*. Residents should place their yard debris, including branches, leaves, and grass, on the curb for collection *before 6:00 a.m. that Saturday. * DPW’s goal is to reduce the amount of valuable natural resources *we deposit into landfills*. Yard debris collected from this event will *produce local compost,* some of which will *enrich landscapes throughout the city. * *“This is a great program for the city. It provides residents with a sustainable method to dispose of their yard debris and reduce their carbon footprint,*” said* City Recycling Supervisor Vanessa Reaves. * Residents must adhere to the* following guidelines* to participate: - Yard debris must be placed at your typical trash/recycling pick-up spot before 6:00 a.m. - Yard debris must be placed in a brown paper bag and weigh no more than 35 pounds. - Branches must be bundled with fiber, natural twine, or rope, while measuring less than 5 feet in length and less than 4 inches in diameter. - Yard debris not in accordance with these guidelines will not be collected. Gas Lawn Equipment for Sale

I have decided to go with cordless lawn equipment this summer. I have a self propelled Yardmax gas lawnmower used a dozen times and a Troy Bilt gas weed trimmer bought at the same time, also used about 12 times. I paid $ 400.00 for the mower and $200.00 for the trimmer, I am selling both for $400.00.

Tonight's agenda has been updated - - not only will we have *updates on all the upcoming spring and summer community events*, and hear from a guest speaker from the *POGOH bikeshare program *(who'll present the city's plans for new stations, including three in Highland Park), but we'll also have a representative from the Mayor's Office onhand to talk about the upcoming *changes to Stanton Ave*, including the addition of a bike lane. *NOTE:* This will be the last Zoom meeting for a while!
