Land bank reform stalled.

Good morning, The land bank reform bill is stalled jn city council due, somewhat, to our council person’s stalling on-the legislation. Our area has one of the two lowest amounts of land owned by the city but for some reason she will not vote for the reform. As you can see in the article she did not respond to the PG’s request for comment, so we don’t even know why she is stalling this reform. In my opinion, this reform is a long time Coming in trying to get rid of city blight and allow the land to be rehabilitated and made useful again. Write or call Deb Gross’s office and weigh in on this matter please. It is unlikely that she will respond or change her vote unless her constituents make it known she needs to vote for reform because we want to help the LandBank actually work. Looking for housing for Visiting Fulbright Scholars

This Fall, approximately 20 Fulbright scholars, international graduate students and professionals will be coming to Pittsburgh from around the world to pursue advanced research and/or lecturing positions in local universities, but especially The University of Pittsburgh and CMU. As you may know, the Fulbright Scholar program was founded in 1946 to increase mutual understanding and support friendly and peaceful relations between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. Some of these scholars will need housing for 2-3 months, others for 6 months and others for a year. They will need clean, affordable, safe rooms (many are used to sharing) near to public transportation and the universities. I am assembling a list of potential landlords--people who have room or who anticipate having a room or apartment to rent. If you are interested in renting a room in the Fall of 2023 or Spring of 2024---please contact me with the details: what space you have to lease, where it is located, and how much you expect in rent. Hello neighbors! We are hosting a self-love yoga class with self-love therapist Ta’lor Pinkston this afternoon at my studio on South Highland Ave, Rebel Wellness <http://www.rebelsinwellness.com/>. Here is the description, would love to see you there! Join us at 4 p.m. today (Sunday) for a unique Rebel Flow class focused intentionally on self-love with special guest and Self-love Therapist Ta’lor Pinkston, LSW, of The Heart Advocate. Together, we will warm our bodies and calm our minds during this 75 minute class with Natalie Gentile leading a vinyasa/restorative combo flow and Ta’lor providing pose modifications to increase the importance of anti-perfection and promote self-love. We will move and breathe with intention to build energy and release stress. Ta’lor will lead a discussion with journal prompts on the importance of anti-perfection and self-love in wellness, mental health and healing. We have first-week free classes, otherwise drop-in’s are $20.
