Hello Neighbors! I'm a neighborhood yoga instructor and will be teaching a new class this January at 9am on Saturdays in Bloomfield. Please join us for Get Up and Go Vinyasa Flow at Los Sabrosos Dance & Fitness on Penn Ave. The class will focus on flowing into peak postures and building slow heat before relaxing into sevasana! $20 to drop in, or $50 for the month (4 classes). Tree Person

Hello! Does anyone have a recommendation for someone who will take care of dead trees? We had a small one come down on our fence in a storm a few weeks ago and are having a hard time getting any tree professionals to follow-through and actually come look at our issue. Please, come take our dead tree and our money :) We'd like the downed one taken away as well as an assessment of the still standing trees, since we're pretty sure some of those need to come down as well. Hi All - Details about vehicle below, but first... I hope very much to find a vehicle and seller close by, for sake of easy logistics of viewing vehicle, transferring ownership etc. I am very familiar with process of private party sales and am a motivated buyer with cash in hand. I'm in Morningside; am posting to Nextdoor Morningside and to the Highland Park listserve. Looking for ideally a small to medium car, preferably Honda or Toyota but open to many others including Subaru, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, American Big 3, etc. Also potentially open to a small SUV, wagon, or minivan. Vehicle for my wife; we value reliability, efficiency, and comfort way more than performance or flashiness; needs to fit at least one passenger comfortably, but rarely more than that (we have no kids.) Please let me know of any leads. Again, other criteria as described above are at least as important as specific make/model. Pretty accomplished DIYer/handyman, so condition need not be excellent - refer to price range above 🙂. lt does need to be at the very least running, preferably although not absolutely with current inspection. Used to protect the wood on my table when my kids were small, but they are no longer small. ☺️ Definitely was helpful in reducing the stress around getting stains on a wood table. 40x70 inches. Free. Curb alert - tree trunk cross section

2-yr old tree cross-section is free for the taking. Find it in the only driveway that is off the alley behind Stanton Ave between Sheridan and Collins (the 6100 block of Stanton Ave). The alley is called Carmine or Carnival, depending on whether you are reading street signs or google maps. It is very heavy so bring help to lift it. First come, first serve. Let me know once you take it so I can tell others it is no longer available. It’s under the deck besides the trash cans, as you can see. There is a narrow crack, as I show in the photo. It would be cool to fill with a contrasting color of wood chips and resin, I think. Set it on some braced 4x4’s with a bit of marine varnish, perhaps, for a very neat table.
