Arkhaios Film Festival - Virtual Edition

Many in Highland Park and around the world have enjoyed the Arkhaios Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Film Festival in years past, led by local resident, Jean Guilleux. The Arkhaios Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Film Festival is in its 8th year, but for the first time a virtual festival, for obvious reasons. Arkhaios is an educational event to showcase the discovery of past cultures gained from ethnological or archaeological research, and illustrated by documentary films. A free festival presenting films from around the world, half of them for the first time in the USA ! It is a juried competition, covering World Heritage, Local Heritage (SC & PA), and Underwater Archaeology. Twenty-five films will be presented at the festival, which can be screened during the whole week from the comfort of your home, Monday October 5, 9am EST, to Sunday October 11, 11:59pm EST, with the Awards announced Saturday October 10 at 5 pm. The program is composed of the Arkhaios Official Selection (14 films in competition) and Selected Registered Films (11 films out of competition). The audience has a chance to vote on-line for the Audience Favorite Film award.
