Here are photos of two of the new N. Euclid signs that could be hazardous for blind pedestrians (and even for those of us with sight if we’re not paying attention). I’m 5’6" so you can see how low they are and how they intrude into the concrete space on which pedestrians walk. This time I checked the new signs on the other side of the street, and they are higher up and on telephone poles so they’re fine. I don’t know what the signs are like further north or further south on Euclid, but just be more cautious (and warn blind neighbors) until DOMI fixes them. jai P.S. These are not the best photos I’ve ever had taken, but I felt you needed to see how easy it would be for a person to be hit with these signs.

Vintage chandelier for sale

Did you get our UPS package?

Hello all, Our boys were expecting a special package of hand made clothes and jam from their Grandma today which was delivered, but not to us... It is a smallish box, 7.5 x 6.5 x 4.5 inches, wrapped in brown paper and hand addressed. It was shipped via UPS and is said to have been delivered today, Friday 7/17/2020, at 2:18pm. We are really hoping it was just accidentally left at the wrong door and can find its way back, with your help, to our door. If you have the package I would be overjoyed to come pick it up. Hi neighbors, I am hosting a yard sale Saturday, July 18 from 8-11am. It will be at 317 N Euclid Avenue, along the alley (Weldin Street) and in the back yard. A little bit of everything - books, toys, games - clothing (mostly kids, some adult) - renovation materials (5” reclaimed trim, metal ductwork pieces, etc) - housewares - lots of freebies - my entrepreneurial daughter has made a ton of Scoubidou bracelets and keychains, so if you have a little one, there’s something for them, too! Please alert blind neighbors to new signage hazard on N. Euclid

Hi, neighbors, The new 20 mph signs on N. Euclid are wide and not very high. They are on poles in the grassy area on the outer edge of the sidewalk and the sign itself often extends into the concrete area of the sidewalk. When I walked past them, I had a tendency to move more toward the inner side of the sidewalk to be sure they didn’t hit me, and I’m only 5’6”. Yesterday I realized they could easily hit a blind person on the side of the head since they can’t see them as they pass. I alerted DOMI, and they will be correcting this misplacement, soon I think. In the meantime it would be a good idea to alert any blind neighbors to this hazard. Note: I am not sure if all the new 20 mph signs extend into the concrete area of the sidewalk since I only walked a short distance on N. Euclid yesterday, but the two I passed did. Thank you.
