Hello again, I just want to thank everyone for all the kindness that was shown in response to my recent request for a suitcase. The amount of offers I received was unbelievable and Cesira was in awe of how considerate and helpful you all are. She did find a suitcase that will work perfectly for her and she was so grateful that she will now not have to use a majority of the money she has left to buy a new one. S. Beatty Street development

Hello, Neighbors. I can't make it to the community meeting this evening about the S. Beatty development, and to be honest, until today, I did not realize that it was going to fill all the parking lots near the library. As a regular visitor to the library, I find this a bit alarming. It sounds like a library-killer. If you go to the meeting and hear any information about this issue, could you please post a brief report here on the neighborhood list serve so that I and others will know what we can expect in terms of our ability to use the library, going forward? chance to playtest a new theme park attraction

Hello HP neighbors! A lovely local game company, Schell Games, is holding playtests this Saturday the 15th and Saturday the 29th for a new theme park attraction. They are looking for individuals and families of all ages to sign up. It takes place near their studio in Station Square <https://www.google.com/maps/place/Schell+Games/@40.4337996,-80.0043296,15z/…> . A playtest is an event where the studio brings in folks to try out the experience they are developing and provide feedback. Usually these playtests are pretty fun and interesting, which a unique look into in-progress attractions and games. It does require signing up in advance and also signing an NDA. Cooking School 5404 Penn Avenue (Bloomfield Friendship area) Pgh., PA 15206 412-362-0679 Looking for a "foodie" person with a fairly flexible schedule to assist at small cooking classes. No experience necessary except for the 'love of food!' Must be able to work 1-2 classes a week (day or evening). Classes run three hours and you need to be available 1 hour before for set up and an additional 20-30 minutes after class for clean-up. New hire will receive training in 15 different cuisines, knife skills, cooking techniques, etc. You will also enjoy the food cooked, a nice pay, and maybe leftovers to take home. PUNCTUALITY IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Evening classes are usually 6:00-9:00 PM Sunday classes are 2:00-5:00 PM with an occasional baking or pizza class that runs 2:00-6:00 PM.
